SUNSET INN POLICIES, continued
A credit card guarantee and acceptance of our policies on-line is required on all bookings, with payment upon arrival. In addition we require a deposit in the amount of the first night for holidays and reservations booked more than 6 months ahead. The balance is paid upon arrival.
All Sunset Inn cancellations subject to a $50 fee. Please give us at least 30 days notice to avoid a charge of 50% if the dates we held for you do not re-book. Full charge on reservation change or cancellation less than 7 days before arrival.
3 to 6 pm, or by arrangement. (We are happy to make alternate arrangements, but for the consideration of our other guests, please plan to arrive no later than 9 pm.)
No Smoking, please, for your health and for fire safety.
Unfortunately Sunset Inn is no longer able to accept pets. We understand pets are part of the family and love vacations as well, however due to our own very energetic and unrelenting pooch, Clyde, we can no longer accept pets. We are happy to recommend 'Big Creek Boarding' right outside Groveland, about 25 minutes from us. If your pooch can find accommodations elsewhere, we would love to have you to stay with us!
Pets in Yosemite
"Pets are allowed in Yosemite National Park, but to keep pets and Yosemite wildlife protected there are several important regulations.
In Yosemite, pets are allowed on fully paved bike paths and roads, on a leash 6 feet or shorter. Pets cannot be left unattended. Unattended pets in Yosemite National Park can be attacked by local wildlife, so keep them with you. Pet owners are also responsible for making sure that their pet does not damage the park, pollute water sources or endanger or injure any wildlife. Please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your pet.
Pets are NOT allowed on hiking trails, except for the Meadow Loop and Four Mile fire roads in Wawona, on the Carlson Road, and on the Old Big Oak Flat Road between Hodgdon Meadow and Hazel Green Creek. In addition, while in Yosemite, pets are also NOT allowed in the backcountry, beaches, meadows, shuttle buses, or in public buildings." www.yosemitepark.com
