SUNSET INN POLICIES
May through September, 'high season': 3 night minimum stay required on advance reservations, unless only a shorter stay is open. A 2 night minimum stay is otherwise generally required.
Holidays: 3 night minimum stay required.
A credit card guarantee is required on all bookings, with payment upon arrival. In addition we require a deposit to cover the first night for holidays and reservations booked more than 6 months ahead. The balance is paid upon arrival.
All cancellations subject to a $50 fee. Please give us at least 30 days notice to avoid a charge of 50% if the dates we held for you do not re-book. Full charge on a reservation change or cancellation less than 7 days before arrival.
3 to 6 pm, or by arrangement. (We are happy to make alternate arrangements, but for the consideration of our other guests, please plan to arrive no later than 9 pm.)
Unfortunately Sunset Inn is no longer able to accept pets. We understand pets are part of the family and love vacation too, however due to our own very energetic and unrelenting puppy, Clyde, we can no longer accept pets. If your pooch can find accommodations elsewhere, we would love to have you to stay with us! We are happy to recommend 'Big Creek Boarding', in Groveland.
Pets in Yosemite
Unfortunately pets are not encouraged to visit Yosemite. Park regulations require them to be kept on a leash at all times, and only allow them on paved roads and trails. There are a few paved trails in Yosemite Valley, but pets would limit your options in visiting the park, especially hiking. However, outside the park in the national forest there are no restrictions.
