Reservation Policies

We now offer one beautiful cabin at Sunset Inn, the Meadow Lark Cabin, as well as a separate vacation rental property, with differing policies as follows:

Policy

Reservations can be booked on-line year 'round: Meadow Lark Cabin

Minimum Stay:

  • Three night minimum stay required.

  • Last Minute Availability: The minimum stay requirement may be flexible in the event of a 'last minute' opening.  

Special 10% Discount 

  • Any seven night stay (holidays included) qualifies for our 10% discount!

 
Deposit/Guarantee:

  • A credit card guarantee and acceptance of our policies on-line is required on all bookings, with payment posted 7 days in advance.


Cancellation Policy:

  • Please give us at least 30 days notice to avoid a charge of 50% if the dates we held for you do not re-book.

  • Full charge on reservation change or cancellation less than 7 days before arrival.

  • All Sunset Inn cancellations subject to a $50 fee.


Check-in Time 3 to 6 pm, or by arrangement.

(We are happy to make alternate arrangements, but please plan to arrive no later than 9 pm.)

No Smoking, please, for your health and for fire safety.

Vacation Home Policies

Reservations can be booked on-line year 'round: Yosemite River Cabin 

The Yosemite River Cabin is open year 'round and will accommodate up to 6 guests, including children.


Minimum Stay:

  • Three night minimum stay is required on advance reservations during 'peak season', Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, as well as other holiday periods, unless only a shorter stay is open.

  • Last Minute Availability: The minimum stay requirement may be flexible in the event of a 'last minute' opening.  

 

Special 10% Discount

  • Any seven night stay (holidays included) qualifies for our 10% discount!


Deposit & Payment: 

  • A deposit covering your first night is charged at the time of booking. The balance is charged 2 months prior to arrival, or if less than 2 months ahead, the full amount is charged at the time of booking.

  • Rates at the Yosemite River Cabin are based on up to 4 guests. Add $25 per night for each additional guest.

  • There is a one-time cleaning fee of $125 plus 10% tax, per visit at the Yosemite River Cabin.

  • Guests are expected to leave the cabin in the same general condition as they found it.


Cancellation or Reservation Change: 

  • All cancellations subject to $50 minimum fee for cancellation or reservation change.

  • Less than 60 days results in a 50% charge, less than 14 days no refund.


Check-in time 4 pm or later.
Please note our New Check-out time is 10 am.


Vacation Home Check-out Procedures:

  • Please wash and put away your dishes

  • Strip the sheets and pillow cases from all used beds

  • Place all used linens and used towels in the laundry area

  • Place all garbage and recycling in the garage receptacles


NO SMOKING in our buildings or on our grounds please!

Pet Policy

 

Unfortunately we are not able to accept pets. We understand pets are part of the family and love vacations as we all do,

so we are happy to recommend 'Big Creek Boarding' right outside Groveland, about 25 minutes from us. 

If your pooch can find accommodations elsewhere, we would love to have you to stay with us!

 

 

Pets in Yosemite:

Pets are allowed in Yosemite National Park, but to keep pets and Yosemite wildlife protected there are several important regulations.In Yosemite, pets are allowed on fully paved bike paths and roads, on a leash 6 feet or shorter. Pets cannot be left unattended. Unattended pets in Yosemite National Park can be attacked by local wildlife, so keep them with you. Pet owners are also responsible for making sure that their pet does not damage the park, pollute water sources or endanger or injure any wildlife. Please be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your pet.Pets are NOT allowed on hiking trails, except for the Meadow Loop and Four Mile fire roads in Wawona, on the Carlson Road, and on the Old Big Oak Flat Road between Hodgdon Meadow and Hazel Green Creek.
